Day 16 of PLTW Notebook Assembly of Toy Train
We are now going to assemble a model train on inventor. I believe this train will take lots of time just to build the pieces assembling it will maybe be longer.
Their composed with different line conventions because it allows extrusions to be done easier and revolves as well.
A sectional view gives you a dimensional view of a part of a shape.
It's purpose is to show a full dimensional view of an inclined shape.
If it were words they would be long and hard to memorize.
Algebraic equations may be more exact and less work than using a numerical value.
The three main types are Mate,Angle, and Insert.
1. Why
are drawings composed of different line conventions?
2. What
is the purpose of a sectional view?
3. What
is the purpose of an auxiliary view?
4. Why
are symbols used instead of words to identify hole types?
5. What
advantage is there to using algebraic equations instead of numerical values
when defining the dimensions of a CAD model?
6. What
three types of constraints can be applied to CAD sketches or models?
7. What
advantages do CAD drawings have over paper sketches?
Cad Drawings are neater and more exact than hand drawn paper sketches.
